Making bags has been a long-time interest of mine.   Some of the types of bags that I have sewn are shopping bags, tote bags, diaper bags, purses, harvesting bags, messenger bags, and beach bags. The process of finding interesting fabrics, patterns, textures, colors, and themes to sew into beautiful functional and decorative bags is the foundation of my process. Japanese aesthetics, birds, bees, butterflies, and all creatures in nature inspire some of the bag's themes. Native plants are also a favorite motif in my sewing.  I also create quilts, pillows, and some clothing. I make bags to provide people with a more beautiful, functional, and sustainable container for their shopping and everyday toting.
